Business Technology
The Business Department at Gibbs High School offers several different computer courses. Computer Applications focuses on beginning Microsoft Office and keyboarding. Integrated Input Technologies offers instruction in the advanced features of Microsoft Office. Desktop Publishing teaches students layout and design using Adobe InDesign. Students learn to create web pages using Adobe's web tools in Web Page Essentials and build on these skills in Web Page Applications. Gibbs High School is a testing center for MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist) exams, as well as an IC3 exam site. Certification in these areas offer a big plus when job hunting. Employers know that those applicants who are certified have the computer skills they need in their businesses.

Accounting I gives students an introduction to the accounting processes and procedures, and Accounting II furthers that knowledge as students learn to use Quickbooks software. Business Management teaches students the ins and outs of managing a business on a daily basis.

Business classes offer students not only job market skills, but also life skills.
